This Career-Related First Degree Programme in Commerce with Computer Application is designed with the objective of equipping the students to cope with the emerging trends and challenges in the industrial and business world. The programme is designed with three major subjects so that a successful candidate can go for higher studies in any one of the major subjects of his / her choice. These graduates are eligible for admission to courses like M.Com, MBA, MCA, MTA, CA, ICWA, CS etc. The Programme also aims at equipping the students for taking up various jobs and to initiate and run self employment ventures.
The four major subjects offered under this programme are :

- Computer Application
Language courses include 2 courses in English.
- Eligibility
Eligibility for admission and reservation of seats for the programme shall be according to the rules framed by the University from time to time. No students shall be eligible for admission to the programme unless he / she has successfully completed the examination conducted by a Board /University at the +2 level of schooling or its equivalent. The candidates coming from non – commerce group should have at least 45% aggregate marks.
- Career Opportunity
In today’s job market, only a BCom degree is not enough. After completing the degree, students must pursue post-graduation in Commerce, Accounting and Finance. Courses like MCom, MBA, CA, CS etc. are a good options for B Com graduates. BCom graduates can also prepare for competitive exams for appointment in Government sector.

This Career-Related First Degree Programme in group 2 (a) is a two-main course with Botany as core subject and Biotechnology as vocational subject. It is designed to develop a scientific aptitude and interest towards the modern area of Biotechnology in particular and life science in general. It is aimed at developing in the minds of students a keen interest in Biotechnology without losing the importance of basic science such as Botany. It will help the students to become critical and curious in their outlook. The course will impart the essential basics in Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Apart from understanding Biotechnology and its potential in a developing nation, it will help in eliminating public fear about GM Crops, GM Foods and Transgenic Organisms. Students who pursue this programme and pass out successfully, will surely have an urge to continue higher studies in Biotechnology and to contribute significantly to its development. The graduates of this course are eligible for admission to post graduate course in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Botany, Biochemistry, Microbiology, B.Ed. etc.
